Coulee Region Literacy Council (CRLC)

The Coulee Region Literacy Council is a volunteer organization that offers free one-on-one tutoring for adults who want to improve their reading skills.  CRLC has served the La Crosse and surrounding area since 1976 by helping adults who read at a low level.  More recently, CRLC has expanded its tutoring services to include some classroom subject areas at Western Technical College and being conversation partners with English Language Learners.

CRLC volunteers believe that reading is crucial to a person's survival in this increasingly high-tech world.  Students who improve their reading skills have a better chance of finding a job, getting a high school diploma, or providing for themselves or family.
